Jeff Parker is a globally recognized HSSE executive with more than 35 years of experience leading safety, environmental, and risk management programs across the mining and energy sectors. His career spans senior leadership roles in London, Melbourne, Houston, and multiple international field locations—delivering results in some of the world’s most complex operational, regulatory, and cultural environments.

Across more than three decades with BHP, Jeff was a global auditor, directed HSSE functions for legacy assets, petroleum projects, closed sites, and major international developments. He has led multidisciplinary teams across North America, South America, Australia, Europe, and Africa, strengthening organizational culture, elevating risk performance, and ensuring compliance with stringent statutory and corporate requirements.

Jeff is widely respected for his crisis and emergency response leadership. He successfully managed HSSE dimensions of global events including the Ebola outbreak in West Africa and the COVID‑19 sustained response in North America. His leadership has delivered measurable outcomes—from supporting site efforts to maintain TRIFR of 0.0 for multiple years in the USA, Canada, West Africa and Brazil, to overseeing the HSEC aspects of the largest integrated mine and smelter closure (at the time) in U.S. history, completed safely, ahead of schedule, and under budget.

His expertise spans the full lifecycle of mining and energy operations, including permitting, ESIA development, risk assurance, internal audits, community engagement, and complex regulatory negotiations. Jeff has played key roles in major commercial transactions, repurposing initiatives, and the long‑term stewardship of legacy mining sites across the United States and Canada.

A published author and multiple‑time BHP HSEC award recipient, Jeff brings a rare combination of technical depth, operational experience, and strategic vision. He helps organizations navigate risk, strengthen culture, and deliver sustainable, responsible outcomes that endure.
